Big and Small

I was fiddling around with a Voïgtlander Bessa R3A borrowed from my boss this evening and thought to compare it with my own Bronica RF645. Interesting how they are so similar (for good reason of course), but so different in size.

I also happened to have the office Sony HDR-FX1/E to compare with our own Sony HCR-HC1000E, a similar comparison!

Resurrected

The recent kite flying sessions at work prompted me to dig up the old engines I bought 20 years ago when I was getting into the whole radio controlled airplanes thing. Also decided that I was so far behind on the posting on the blog that it was time to do something about it. So here's a shot of the O.S. FS-48 Surpass (dated back to July 1989 - still have the receipt!), along with the O.S. MAX .46 V (for ducted fan). I had a ducted fan I bought in the UK back then... no idea where it is now though.

GIKI Interns

Another year and the 2nd batch of interns from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (GIKI), Pakistan have arrived. From left to right, they are: Faheem, Waqar, Asad and Farhan. For their first outing in KL, and indeed, all this within their first 60 hours in Malaysia, we took them for a Tex-Mex lunch in Chilli's in KLCC. Interestingly, with the USS Ronald Reagan moored in Port Klang that week, the whole place was crawling with US Marine Corpsmen too.
